How it works
Two outcomes: BTTS-yes and BTTS-no. The market ignores the winner and the goal count above one per team — only «did both score» matters.
BTTS vs the total
They often move together but measure different things. 3:0 smashes over 2.5 yet BTTS-yes loses. 1:1 fails over 2.5 yet BTTS-yes wins. An open two-way game favours both; one-sided pressure favours the total only.
What to check before betting
Scoring and conceding records of both sides — a team that scores in most matches but rarely keeps a clean sheet is the classic BTTS-yes profile.
