John Stones' agent pushes move to Inter amid free‑agent status

Representatives for John Stones have approached Inter Milan again, offering the former Manchester City centre‑back as a free‑agent acquisition. Stones, who turned 32 in May, is willing to take a pay cut and seeks a two‑year deal with an optional third year.

Inter, having released Stefan de Vrij and Francesco Acerbi, are looking to add at least one, possibly two, defenders. They are also engaged in a transfer battle with Como for Chelsea and England centre‑back Trevoh Chalobah, with an asking price of €30 million plus €5 million in add‑ons.
