Jhon Lucumí Defers Juventus Talks Until After World Cup

Colombian centre-back Jhon Lucumí has put discussions about his future on hold, including reported interest from Juventus, until after the FIFA World Cup 2026.

Lucumí, whose contract with Bologna expires in June 2027, told Gazzetta, "I’m at the World Cup right now. It’s not the time to discuss such matters. When I return to Italy, we’ll calmly talk about everything."

Juventus reportedly views Lucumí as a summer target but is hesitant to meet his €28m release clause. Bologna and Juventus have recently explored a potential player-plus-cash swap deal involving Fabio Miretti.

Lucumí is currently with the Colombia national team, who defeated Ghana in the Round of 32 and are set to face Switzerland in the Round of 16.
