Morocco defender Ashraf Hakimi highlighted his team's offensive quality following their 4-2 win over Haiti in their final Group C fixture. The victory placed Morocco second in the group with seven points, behind Brazil.
Hakimi noted that Morocco's slow start required tactical changes. "It was a difficult match. We did not start well, but we managed to turn it around through our attacking play," he said via FIFA's press service. "We needed to focus at half-time on scoring the second goal. We could not allow them to grow in confidence."
Morocco added three goals after the interval to secure their progression. Hakimi concluded: "We are proud of what we have accomplished, but now we need to recover properly and prepare for what comes next."
Haiti finished bottom of Group C without a point from three matches.
