How it works
Three picks at 1.80, 2.10 and 1.60 combine into 1.80 × 2.10 × 1.60 = 6.05. A 100 stake returns 605 — if all three land. The implied probability of the combo is 1/6.05, about 16.5%.
The hidden cost
The margin multiplies along with the odds: at roughly 5% per leg a 4-leg accumulator carries about 19% of built-in commission. That is why accumulators are the bookmaker's favourite bet type.
